The Ship-to-Recover loop

Customer cancels → you learn why → you ship the fix →the customers who asked hear about it first.

Cancellations carry the most honest roadmap feedback you'll ever get. ChurnNote connects each reason to lost MRR and product requests, helps you decide what to build, and measures who returns after each ship.

Built for SaaS founders who want to understand why customers leave, decide what to fix, and bring the right customers back.

1

Learn the real reason

Cancel-flow answers and honest replies to founder-style exit emails become structured churn reasons, not survey noise.

2

Attach customers and lost MRR

Every reason keeps the customers behind it and the MRR that walked out with them, so your build list is ranked by revenue, not vibes.

3

Mark the improvement shipped

Build the thing customers actually left over. Mark it shipped in ChurnNote in one click.

4

Review and contact exactly who asked

ChurnNote drafts a personal follow-up to the exact customers who asked, you review every email before it sends, and returns are tracked per ship.

No spray-and-pray win-back blasts. Follow-ups go only to customers whose stated reason you actually fixed, and you review every email before it sends.

While you build

Immediate revenue protection runs in the background.

Ship-to-Recover works over weeks. These keep money from leaking in the meantime.

Failed-payment recovery

A three-email sequence with fresh payment links catches involuntary churn before the subscription lapses.

Cancellation flow

When a customer clicks cancel, offer a pause, downgrade, or discount tied to their stated reason.

Recent-cancellation follow-ups

Founder-style exit emails that get honest replies, sent after access actually ends, reviewed by you first.

Churn opportunity detection

Every new cancellation and failed payment is recorded, valued in MRR, and ranked for follow-up.

Your first session: proof before payment.

Restricted billing access

Built to be trusted with billing data.

On Stripe, ChurnNote connects with a restricted key and shows you the exact permission list before you paste it. Keys are encrypted at rest, never displayed again, excluded from exports, and deleted with your account.

ChurnNote can

  • Read subscription status and cancellations
  • Read invoice and payment-failure information
  • Read the customer identity needed for recovery
  • Send follow-ups you review first

ChurnNote cannot

  • Access your bank account or payouts
  • Move money or issue refunds
  • See full card numbers
  • Use permissions you didn't grant

Review-first sending: you approve customer emails

Unsubscribes, bounces, and complaints auto-suppressed

One-click JSON export of your data

Typed-confirmation account deletion, keys removed

Revoke access in Stripe or Lemon Squeezy anytime

Failed-payment churn never gets a misleading exit email

Built for founders who need the truth behind churn

ChurnNote is early. The product is already running with paying SaaS accounts, and we are working directly with founders to document the first public recovery stories.

Praveen, founder of ChurnNote

Why I built this

I'm Praveen, the founder of ChurnNote. Small SaaS founders usually find out about churn too late, after Stripe or Lemon Squeezy already says “cancelled.” The reason behind each cancellation is the most honest roadmap feedback you'll ever get, and most of it is thrown away.

ChurnNote keeps that feedback, prices it, and puts it to work: see why people leave, build what brings them back, and tell exactly the right customers when you did.

FAQ

What can ChurnNote access?

Only what you grant. On Stripe you connect a restricted key with read access to customers, subscriptions, products, invoices, and events, plus write access to webhook endpoints so new cancellations and failed payments stream in. ChurnNote cannot move money, see full card numbers, create charges or refunds, or touch your payouts. You can revoke the key in Stripe or Lemon Squeezy at any time.

Why use a restricted Stripe key?

A restricted key can only do what you enable, nothing else. ChurnNote shows you the exact permission list during setup, verifies each one before importing anything, encrypts the key at rest, never displays it again after saving, excludes it from data exports, and deletes it when you delete your account. It is strictly safer than pasting your full secret key.

What happens before I pay?

Everything that matters: you connect billing, ChurnNote runs a Recovery Sweep over your last 30 days, and you get the full Churn Leak Report on your real data: every opportunity, amount, and draft follow-up. You pay only if you want to act on it. If you don't, Watch mode keeps detecting new churn for free.

Does ChurnNote automatically email customers?

Not without your review. Historical follow-ups from your report send only after you approve them and confirm your sender details. Ongoing recovery emails are drafted for you and follow rules you control, and every send honors unsubscribes, bounces, and your do-not-contact list. Failed-payment churn never gets a misleading 'why did you cancel' email.

What if the scan finds nothing?

That's a good sign, and it costs you nothing. ChurnNote will say so plainly, with no invented urgency, and offer Watch mode: it keeps recording cancellations and failed payments and tells you when a real recovery opportunity appears, with the exact amount.

Can I export and delete my data?

Yes. Settings has a one-click JSON export of your data (API keys excluded) and a typed-confirmation account deletion that stops all processing immediately, cancels your ChurnNote subscription, deregisters webhooks from your billing provider, and removes your data.

What is Ship-to-Recover?

The loop ChurnNote is built around: learn the real reason each customer cancelled, attach those customers and their lost MRR to the specific requests behind the reasons, mark an improvement shipped when you build it, and ChurnNote drafts a personal follow-up to exactly the customers who asked, then tracks who returns.

Does ChurnNote take a percentage of recovered revenue?

No. Flat pricing only: Watch is free, Founder is $29/month (up to 500 active subscribers), Growth is $79/month (up to 2,500). Annual plans are $290 and $790. No per-recovery fees, no revenue cut, cancel anytime.
